NT ENDO PEX is a premixed paste composed of Calcium Hydroxide and Iodoform. It’s designed for dental use, particularly in root canal treatments. The product is known for its easy dispensing system, excellent radiopacity, and marked antibacterial properties due to its high pH of 12.81. It’s used for various purposes such as root canal filling for deciduous teeth, weeping canal treatment, long-term intracanal medication in permanent teeth, hard tissue barrier creation (apexification), and for external and internal root resorption1.
The paste is packaged in a syringe with fine tips, which allows for precise application even in the finest of canals. It’s also noted for its ability to stimulate hard tissue formation1. For use, the canal should be cleaned and dried, the disposable tip disinfected with ethanol, and the paste applied by slowly pushing the syringe plunger while withdrawing the tip upward. Any excess paste can be cleaned with a sterilized cotton pellet1.
It’s important to note that this product should be used by dental professionals and not in individuals who are allergic to any of its components. Also, it should be stored in a dry and cool area to maintain its properties1.
